doesn't look good.....

Well..the ultrasound results revealed a gestational sac (no yolk sac/noembryo)...Sometimes this isn't seen until 5.5 weeks and we were just 5 weeks today...BUT...the bad news is (or the worst news) is that the decidual reaction is weak..and apparently that means there could be an endometrial thickening issue....so basically, they will do another ultrasound next week, but doesn't look good.......what a roller coaster ride....

  3. Rene, Honey. I am praying with everything I have that it all works out well and that this is just a little hiccup on the way. Hang in there. Its tough also because usually you don't know all these things so early and things happen that we don't know about and therefore don't need to worry about (does that make sense). Sending positive thoughts your way and Im sorry that you will be on tender hooks all week. Take care babe and contact me anytime xx

  5. Chin up! As I told Temmy, when we didn't see anything but sacs at our 5 week ultrasound, I read through EVERYONE's blogs-- because what the heck else are you supposed to do while waiting a whole WEEK for the next scan-- and it turns out that MOST others did not see anything else as well. I don't know much about the reaction but I do know that at our 6 wk ultrasound our sac was measuring a week behind the embryo. According to google, this is doomsday. Nevertheless, everything was just fine with our next scan. I know it's hard to keep the faith but rest assured that when you are unable to, we are all keeping it for you! Looking forward to a positive follow up post<3

  6. Rene, I just looked back at our five week scan. Three gestational sacs with no yolks. We were also only measuring 4 weeks. The statement about the decidual reaction was only that it was adequate. Don't lose faith just yet, but I completely understand the worry! If you need to talk, let me know!

  7. We didn't see nothing but gestational sac either at 5 weeks! And it took 3 scans before there was a pretty heartbeat! I was a wrack by that time, almost sure the embryo was not viable. But now we are 29 weeks and ticking!

I read your entire blog today, it is the first time I'm here. I understand that your husband is a doctor. Are you a doctor aswell or a nurse? I'm a nurse and work at an emergency hospital in Sweden :) Crossing my fingers hard for positive news on your next scan!!!
    Hugs!
